Writing did what anime and video games never could for me: satiate that creative thing dwelling within. With the discovery of writing, the teeth of my untamed imagination have finally found purchase on something worthwhile. “Writing is freedom.” If someone hasn’t already coined that, I’ll claim it, because that’s exactly how it makes me feel.
Almost every free moment not spent with my wife and four children, I write—or think about writing. Some of my other interests include languages, travel, body surfing, backpacking, philanthropic striving and t-shirts (I’m a large).

THE PATH TO PAZ
The last word spoken by 17-year-old Toekin Salazar’s mother was, “Hide!”, and as far as hiding goes, the deadly Seivo Sangue tree is the unlikeliest of places. But after six lonely years of forest solitude, Toekin both fears and longs for human contact.
As his past catches up to him, Toekin finds himself in a race to find the key piece in a brewing war. Is the beautiful girl from his dreams real? Is what they’re saying about his parents true?
Wow – what a great book! If you are looking for an escape out of the current crazy world we live in – this is your ticket. Great book for young and old adults alike.

The Path to Paz was an AMAZING and magical book! I was so impressed by Toekin (the main character) and it was fun to watch him change throughout the story. The author’s use of imagery made me feel as though I was right there along with him, which is rare for me to find in a book. My wife and teenage daughter are currently fighting over who gets to read it next. Hoping for Book 2 to come out soon. It was full of adventure, mystery, romance, and magic. It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. Highly recommend it, a real page turner, Two thumbs up from this reader.

This book is AWESOME! I’ve been reading it to my children. Although bedtime comes and goes, I don’t want to stop so my kids end up getting to stay up late! There is no foul language and nothing sexual so it’s a great read for families with children. The character is developed, the plot line suspenseful and I find that I’m caught off guard thinking, BRILLIANT!! I love that he knew/did that!!” A great read no matter your age or interest in genre!! 5 stars!
